An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Registered Nurse to lead lead the Oncology nursing team at a private hospital in Ipswich, QLD. 
THE ROLE
As the Clinical Manager you will oversee the daily management and coordination of the 8-chair Oncology and Haematology unit which specialises in the care and support of patients requiring infusion and cytotoxic therapies for chronic illness and cancer. This includes chemotherapy, haematological treatments, iron infusions, blood infusions and specialist drug infusions. The Unit currently operates from Monday to Friday.
As the Clinical Manager, you will lead the Oncology nursing team ensuring a strong record of excellent patient outcomes within the unit. Furthermore, you will also be responsible for ensuring a strong focus on clinical professional development both within the department and the hospital more widely by playing a key role in the provision of clinical facilitation to new clinical staff in a dynamic and rapidly expanding hospital environment. In this role you will report to the Director of Clinical Services.
THE CANDIDATE
As the successful candidate you will have the following skills / abilities:
  • Current APHRA Registration;
  • Proven knowledge as a senior Nurse or Manager in a hospital oncology setting or a similar department or ward;
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Sbility to inspire, motivate and mentor your team;
  • Commitment to improvement and excellence in the delivery of outcomes;
  • Excellent work ethic & time management skills.

 

THE FACILITY
Hospital, located in Ipswich, is an acute medical surgical facility. The hospital provides all major services including, six operating theatres, a cardiac catheter laboratory and a day oncology unit and offers the full range of medical, surgical and maternity services to the Ipswich community.
