An excellent opportunity exists for an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced Intensive Care Clinical Nurse Educator to join an expanding team at a private hospital in Sydney. It's a part time role (40hrs/fortnight).
The Clinical Nurse Educators role in collaboration with the Nurse Educator and Nurse Unit Manager will provide all staff on the floor with educational development, support and supervision. You will be responsible for planning in-services based on the needs of the unit, supporting new staff and students as they transition in to the unit; competency development and assessment; supporting e-learning and Mandatory Training. The Clinical Nurse Educator will be required to work as part of the 'Education Team', attend relevant policy & procedure meetings, ward meetings and monthly Education Meetings.
To be successful in this position you will require the following:
- Current APHRA Registered Nurse Registration;
- Minimum of 5 years recent experience in a Critical Care Unit;
- Proven and consistent commitment to clinical nursing and performance at a higher clinical level;
- Previous Clinical Nurse Educator experience;
- Certificate IV, Workplace Assessment & Training, TAE (willing to undertake/Working towards).
Hospital, located in Sydney’s North West, is a busy high acuity facility. The unit is a 19 bed ICU with key specialities including cardiothoracic, neurosurgical and general surgery.
