A great opportunity has arisen for a strong operational leader to manage the hospital’s clinical services at a private hospital in Perth.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this role is accountable for providing clinical direction, governance, quality and operational management of hospital's clinical services. As part of the hospital executive team, the role will lead and manage a team of professional clinical managers and effectively engage with the VMOs and Medical team to deliver high quality clinical care.
On a day to day basis, the DCS will oversee all practical aspects of care delivery such as bed management, patient flow strategies, operating theatre utilisation, patient demand forecasting, doctor engagement and staffing practices. The DCS is responsible for managing the contract with the State Government of Western Australia and fostering key relationships with specialists and other stakeholders. Ongoing liaison with the State Government of Western Australia will be critical to ensure public health outcomes are met under current arrangements.
As the successful applicant, you will possess the following attributes:
- Current registration with AHPRA
- Post-graduate clinical qualifications and / or tertiary management qualifications or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated senior management experience in a similar sized organisation
- Proven high level communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
- Demonstrated experience successfully managing organisational change, financial reporting, and quality improvement processes
- Experience in the private health sector is highly desirable but not essential.
Salary commensurate with the successful candidate's experience and qualifications.
Hospital, located in Southern Perth, is a a 128 inpatient bed, acute care hospital, dedicated to providing high quality public and private healthcare to the residents of the Mandurah and Peel regions. The emergency department currently provides a 24-hour, 7 days a week emergency service to over 45,000 patients per year. The department is staffed by an experienced and caring multidisciplinary team of professionals dedicated to the health and wellbeing of the hospital's patients. The emergency department currently includes 23 treatment bays with state-of-the-art equipment and medical imaging services.
