Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical Ward | Port Macquarie

As a Registered Nurse, you will be working across the Medical/Surgical team and perform duties with the support and guidance of the Nurse Unit Managers, Clinical Nurses and Shift Leaders, ensuring a high level of quality care is provided at all times. Working with a professional and multidisciplinary team, your role will also involve, but is not limited to:

• Checking, preparing and administering medication in accordance with registration requirements, relevant legislation and organisation policies and procedures;
• Participating in patient care rounds to ensure that patient needs are met; 
• Continually providing and exceeding the highest level of nursing care.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Current registration with AHPRA;
• 3 years prior experience working in a surgical/ medical setting;
• Experience in Post Operative, General, and Palliative care;
• Demonstrated experience providing high standards of customer service;
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required;
• Excellent time management skills;
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills.

REMUNERATION

$34.43 - $48.33 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.

The hospital, located in Port Macquarie, is a 72-bed acute Medical/Surgical and Rehab facility with 6 Renal Chairs and a Day Surgery complex. Comprehensive Medical/Surgical services are offered with 24-hour Medical Officer Support, including Orthopaedics, Urology, General Surgery, ENT, Bariatric and Vascular, Plastic & Ophthalmology.
