ROLE DETAILS
As a Perioperative Registered Nurse - Scrub Scout, your responsibilities will include:
- Undertaking perioperative nursing care in accordance with legislation;
- Delivering evidence-based nursing care;
- Liaising with the multi-disciplinary team;
- Ensuring patient and staff safety;
- Supervising, directing, and guiding nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and AINs to deliver patient care (RN only);
- Proactively assessing the operative nursing care provided to ensure the best possible outcome is achieved for the individual/patient;
- Documenting the patient's medical record objectively, clearly, concisely, and timely using accepted abbreviations and terminology.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Current Registration with AHPRA;
- At least 18 months of experience as an RN – Scrub Scout;
- Working with Children check (if relevant);
- Commitment to Quality Patient Care;
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;
- Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills;
- Excellent communication and customer service skills;
- Works well independently and within a team;
- Basic computer skills.
