ROLE DETAILS
As a Perioperative Registered Nurse - Scrub Scout, your responsibilities will include:
  • Undertaking perioperative nursing care in accordance with legislation;
  • Delivering evidence-based nursing care;
  • Liaising with the multi-disciplinary team;
  • Ensuring patient and staff safety;
  • Supervising, directing, and guiding nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and AINs to deliver patient care (RN only);
  • Proactively assessing the operative nursing care provided to ensure the best possible outcome is achieved for the individual/patient;
  • Documenting the patient's medical record objectively, clearly, concisely, and timely using accepted abbreviations and terminology.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Current Registration with AHPRA;
  • At least 18 months of experience as an RN – Scrub Scout;
  • Working with Children check (if relevant);
  • Commitment to Quality Patient Care;
  • Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;
  • Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills;
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills;
  • Works well independently and within a team;
  • Basic computer skills.
