ABOUT THE ROLE
The Anaesthetic Floor Coordinator position is an important role in the Theatre department. It is a key leadership and management role that is accountable for the efficient & effective management of all human & material resources within Anaesthetic department.
- The role encompasses planning implementing and evaluating practices, processes, and services within the team;
- The role requires working closely with other perioperative leaders and department managers to achieve excellence in care delivery in line with best practices and legislative requirements;
- The position will be responsible for coordinating the daily staffing & equipment needs of the anaesthetic team in consultation with other floor coordinators and Theatre NUM.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Current registration with AHPRA;
- At least 4 years of relevant specialty experience;
- Previous experience in floor coordination in the Operating Theatre will be highly regarded;
- Clinical leadership experience or relevant post-graduate specialty qualifications desired;
- A sound understanding and management of KPIs, staffing allocations, and problem-solving skills are crucial.
REMUNERATION
$64.56 per hour + superannuation, exclusive of penalties or allowances.
ABOUT THE FACILITY
The hospital, located in Western Sydney, is a modern facility with 12 Operating Theatres and two Cardiac Cath labs. The hospital performs a full range of elective surgeries, including cardiac, neurosurgery, urology, orthopaedic, gynaecology, colorectal, general, plastics, obstetrics, Paediatric, ENT, and Spinal Surgery. The 16-bed ICU provides specialised care for patients who require constant monitoring, intensive nursing care and advanced respiratory, cardiac and renal support therapies.
