A new opportunity has arisen to become part of the leadership team of the 8-chair Day Infusion Centre at a private hospital in Melbourne as an Associate Nurse Unit Manager. It's a permanent full-time position.

ROLE OVERVIEW
As an Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM), you will be responsible for assisting the NUM in efficient and effective management, coordinating the delivery of evidence-based nursing care, and providing outstanding leadership and direction. 

As an Associate Nurse Unit Manager, your responsibilities will include: 
  • Facilitating a learning culture to ensure continuous improvement;
  • Maintaining professional and constructive working relationships with the VMO partners, using a customer service mindset to enable high-quality patient outcomes;
  • Providing clinical, operational direction for the unit to ensure efficient and effective management by coordinating the delivery of nursing care that is evidence-based;
  • Being accountable and responsible for the effective daily management of human, financial, and material resources;
  • Coordinating and driving clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives;
  • Undertaking direct patient care as required.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Current registration with AHPRA;
  • Working with Children check;
  • At least 3 years of oncology experience;
  • Current or previous ANUM, shift manager, or clinical nurse specialist experience (desirable);
  • Postgraduate Degree in a relevant specialty area desirable;
  • Sound clinical knowledge;
  • Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;
  • Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills;
  •  Positive role modelling behaviours;
  • Excellent customer service focus, time management, and prioritisation;
  • Ability to manage a dynamic and changing environment;
  • A high degree of computer literacy, including MS Office and various databases;
  • ADAC competent.

Offering comprehensive services to its community, the hospital features 186 registered beds, a well-equipped emergency department, 5 advanced operating theatres, a 12-bed Critical Care Complex, and a thriving day surgery/endoscopy unit. The hospital's specialisation includes orthopaedics, general surgery, general medicine, oncology, cardiology, urology, plastic surgery, ENT, and gynaecology.
