An excellent managerial opportunity exists for an experienced nursing manager to provide leadership and management of the nursing team at a private rehabilitation centre in Melbourne. It is a permanent part-time offer.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • The position is responsible for providing clinical leadership to the ward to complement the strategic direction, operational processes, and quality management of all patients;
  • You will provide clinical operational direction for the unit to ensure efficient and effective management by coordinating the delivery of nursing care that is evidence-based;
  • With the assistance and direction of the Nurse Unit Manager, you will be accountable and responsible for the effective daily management of human, financial, and material resources. 


  • Current Registration with AHPRA;
  • Current Police Check (within the last 12 months);
  • Working with Children’s Check;
  • Experience in the Acute / Rehabilitation setting;
  • Sound clinical knowledge;
  • Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;
  • Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills;
  •  Positive role modeling behaviours;
  • Excellent customer service focus, time management and prioritisation skills;
  • Ability to manage a dynamic and changing environment;
  • A high degree of computer literacy including MS Office and various databases;
  • Willing to work a rotating roster including night duty and weekends.
The  Rehabilitation Centre, located in the East South Melbourne, is a rehabilitation facility offering an extensive range of inpatient and outpatient services. The specialties include multi trauma, orthopaedics, stroke, cardiac, restorative, respiratory, pain management and acquired brain injury (ABI).
