Excellent opportunities exist for highly motivated Surgical/HDU Registered Nurses with leadership skills to join the Surgical Ward with HDU beds at a private hospital on the Mornington Peninsula. A permanent full-time or part-time position and a temporary part-time positions (12 months contract ) are available.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As the ANUM, you will review, plan, oversee and deliver patient care within the unit under the guidance and support of the Nurse Unit Manager and Clinical Nurse Educator. Your role consists of clinical aptitude, dynamic planning and supportive leadership to enable the nursing team to provide a high level of quality service and care to our patient population.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current registration with AHPRA;
- Current clinical experience working in acute surgical services;
- Any clinical leadership experience or post-graduate specialty qualifications will be highly regarded;
- HDU experience desirable;
- Demonstrated personal commitment to ongoing professional development;
- The flexibility to work 7-day rotating shifts, including weekend and night shifts, will also be key for this role.

ABOUT THE FACILITY
Hospital, located on the Mornington Peninsula, is a modern and well-equipped facility offering a comprehensive range of acute surgical services. Services are supported by a seven-bed Intensive Care Unit.
The Ward is a 34-bed acute surgical ward with High Dependency beds. Surgical specialties include Vascular, Plastics, Urology, Thoracic, Bariatric, Orthopaedics, Spinal, Colorectal and Neurosurgery.
