An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Clinical Nurse Educator to join the Theatre Team at a private hospital in Northern Sydney. A permanent full-time position is available.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a CNE, you will work collaboratively with the Academy Nurse Education and Research team to plan, develop and facilitate education hospital-wide and within the department by promoting a culture of development and inquiry.

You will have experience in developing and delivering clinical education within the perioperative environment, particularly PACU/Recovery, where the CNE is an essential nursing resource providing opportunities for staff career development.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Current registration with AHPRA;
  • Minimum 5 years recent experience in PACU/Recovery either as a Clinical Nurse Specialist or Clinical Nurse Educator;
  • Postgraduate qualification in Adult Education or commitment to attain within 3 years of appointment;
  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment or working towards the same (desirable)
  • Demonstrated current experience in teaching or education and a demonstrated commitment to clinical teaching of others;
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise work and delegate tasks to achieve individual and team KPI's;
  • Demonstrated ability to be flexible and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Demonstrates and practices effective verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills and actively develops good listening skills
  • Evidence of professional development commensurate with the level of autonomy and authority expected of the position
  • Well-developed computer skills, including the use of electronic medical records systems, MS Word, Excel and web-based research.
