An excellent role is available for a highly organised and dynamic Clinical Nurse Specialist - Neurovascular Lab to join the Operating Theatre team at a private hospital in Sydney. This is a Permanent Full-Time or Part-Time opportunity.
ABOUT THE POSITION
As a member of the Operating Theatre team, you will act as a clinical and professional resource person demonstrating broad knowledge and clinical expertise in all facets of caring for the patient whilst demonstrating a high level of critical thinking and problem-solving skills within the clinical setting.
You will contribute to, and participate in, the education of staff at all levels by being involved in department orientation, in-servicing, and clinical competence programs. As a CNS, you will also make a valuable contribution to the hospital's continuous improvement processes.
THE CANDIDATE
The successful applicant will have:
- Current registration with AHPRA;
- At least 5 years of experience as a Registered Nurse with experience in Theatre;
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills;
- Understanding of scope of practice in line with relevant registration;
- Knowledge of legislative requirements in relation to nursing practice;
- Knowledge of Quality/Continuous Improvement processes;
- Advanced problem-solving and negotiation skills with the ability to think critically and prioritise workloads;
- Strong desire to successfully enhance team performance and experience.

REMUNERATION
$50.29 + superannuation, exclusive of penalties or allowances.

The hospital, located in Sydney's North Shore, is an acute care facility offering a comprehensive range of medical, surgical, and obstetric services. The Orthopaedic Ward has 76 private rooms. Best practice standards across the multidisciplinary team, from nursing and physiotherapy to the medical staff, are enforced by strict adherence to National Health Standards.
