Join the team as an experienced Registered Nurse in a full-time Hospital Coordinator Day Manager role at a private hospital in Hobart. This key position is integral to the healthcare team, providing leadership and overseeing the management of the hospital.

ABOUT THE ROLE 
As a Hospital Coordinator Day Manager, your responsibilities will be including:
  • Supervising safe, quality care that meets current best practice standards;
  • Supporting and liaising with the respective Nurse Unit Manager(s) of wards and departments;
  • Ensuring all areas are staffed appropriately and cost-efficiently;
  • Managing patient flow, coordinating and planning operational processes, working within the budget direction of the hospital;
  • Coordinating patient admissions;
  • Supporting the hospital's commitment to quality improvement and achieving National Safety & Quality Healthcare Standards;
  • Maintaining the safety of staff, patients, and visitors.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Registered Nurse with current AHPRA Registration;
  • Recent management experience at Nurse Unit Manager or Hospital Coordinator level or higher;
  • Demonstrated experience with the coordination and allocation of staff;
  • Ability to manage multi-tasks and co-ordinate resources appropriately;
  • High degree of computer literacy including MS Office;
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills;
  • People leadership skills including mentorship and coaching of team members;
  • Completion or working towards post-graduate qualification in management;
  • Recent management experience at the Nurse Unit Manager or Hospital Coordinator level.

REMUNERATION

The salary range on offer for this position is $135K + Super.

The hospital, located in Hobart, is a fully accredited facility with 146 beds providing a unique range of acute services, including general surgery, specialty care in orthopaedics, urology, gynaecology, breast, colorectal, oral, vascular, plastics, obesity surgery, and select surgery for paediatrics.
