An opportunity is available to join the state-of-the-art Intensive Care Unit as a Nurse Educator at a private hospital in Melbourne. Both full-time and part-time roles are offered.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Nurse Educator, your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning, developing, and delivering nursing education courses/programs within the hospital;
  • Coordinating and providing hands-on educational support, clinical teaching/facilitation, and orientation to staff;
  • Promoting a high standard of evidence-based nursing care to patients by disseminating current best practice knowledge;
  • Supervising staff compliance with annual Mandatory Training and the completion of eLearning components;
  • Ensuring best practice competency-based programs are available and assessing staff competencies for all ICU staff;
REQUIREMENTS
  • Current AHPRA registration;
  • Certificate IV workplace training and Assessment (TAE) (or working towards);
  • Post Graduate Certificate in ICU;
  • At least 5 years of relevant educator experience;
  • Demonstrated experience in the eLearning platform; 
  • High degree of computer literacy including MS Office;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

REMUNERATION

$57.56 per hour, based on your years of relevant nursing experience.

ABOUT THE FACILITY 
The Hospital, located in Melbourne, is a fully accredited tertiary facility with over 250 beds, providing Emergency Services, Intensive Care and Cardiac Services, including two twenty-four-hour Cardiac Catheter Laboratories. The Hospital has 13 theatres, which offer a broad range of specialties, including Cardiac, Neurosurgery, Robotics, Plastics, Orthopaedics, Urology, Laparoscopic, Colorectal, Vascular and General Surgery and 2 dedicated endoscopy units.
