A new chance awaits a Nurse Unit Manager to join the General Ward which specialises in Orthopaedics, General Surgical, and Medical at a private hospital located in Wangaratta. This role offers flexibility in employment to the right candidate, permanent full-time or part-time negotiable.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the CEO/Director of Clinical Services, you will work with and support nursing staff in achieving excellence in care delivery in line with best practice and legislative requirements.

The successful candidate will supervise, lead, direct, and motivate staff to achieve outcomes with the ability to manage financial and human resources. You will effectively manage roster processes, allocate duties for nursing staff, proactively increase occupancy where possible and provide a positive, safe, learning environment.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Current AHPRA registration;
  • Demonstrated extensive clinical skills and experience as a Clinical Nurse or Nurse Unit Manager delivering high standards of clinical care utilising specialist knowledge;
  • Postgraduate Clinical Nursing qualification (or currently working towards);
  • At least 3 years of management or team-leading experience;
  • Be professional and highly motivated with a passion for enhancing staff engagement;
  • Proven effective communication and interpersonal skills in a multidisciplinary environment.
