A key leadership and management role exists for an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Mental Health team at a private hospital on the Central Coast.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As a NUM, you will hold a key leadership and management role and be accountable for the efficient and effective management of all staff, equipment and resources within the department. You will be responsible for direct care to the ward patients, planning, implementing and evaluating practices, processes and services within the department.

You will also be responsible for working with and supporting other managers in achieving excellence in care delivery. Working closely with the Executive team, you will help shape organisational strategies, improve service provisions and achieve departmental and hospital strategic objectives.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Relevant qualifications and Registration with AHPRA;
  • Minimum 5 years of postgraduate experience in a psychiatric setting is essential for this role;
  • Recent experience in a clinical leadership role;
  • Prior demonstrated experience in coaching, mentoring, and developing others;
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
  • Capacity to lead and inspire a team of clinical professionals, acting as a passionate mentor;
  • Monitor and manage the business and management functions and processes of the ward or unit;
  • Demonstrate professional integrity, ethical conduct, accountability, advocacy, and enabling others;
  • Cultivation of collaborative relationships and effective teamwork.

ABOUT THE FACILITY 

The hospital, located on the Central Coast, is an acute facility that provides services for Rehabilitation, Medical, and Mental Health Inpatients and Day Programs. The Clinic offers acute inpatient services, neurostimulation services and day programs for people requiring support for mood and anxiety disorders, psychosis, personality and adjustment disorders and post-traumatic stress. The onsite medical consulting suites allow continuity of care for patients returning to the Clinic for outpatient consultations.
