An exciting opportunity exists for an individual with a passion for leadership and management, and quality patient care to take on the role of the Nurse Unit Manager at a private mental health clinic in Sydney.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As the NUM, you will have strong managerial and leadership qualities to lead a professional nursing and allied health team specialising in Mental Health.
You will plan, implement and evaluate practices, processes and services within the department to ensure improved patient outcomes.
You will be supported and guided by our clinical management team and executive to ensure a high level of quality patient care is delivered in line with the core values and strategic direction of the Clinic.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current registration with AHPRA;
- Minimum 3 years experience in a leadership role with experience in Mental Health care;
- Experience or exposure to managing clinical staff recruitment, rostering and performance management;
- Post Graduate Mental Health Qualification;
- Understanding of scope of practice in line with relevant registration;
- Excellent time management skills;
- Ability to assess, plan, coordinate and evaluate care delivery needs of patients;
- Knowledge of legislative requirements about nursing practice;
- Understanding of Quality/Continuous Improvement processes.
THE FACILITY
The clinic, located on Sydney’s North Shore, is a private mental health facility. The clinic provides mental health services in NSW, specialising in the treatment of mood disorders, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, post-traumatic stress disorders & general psychiatry.
