An excellent opportunity exists for an experienced nursing leader to take on an exciting clinical management role in the Rehabilitation Unit at a private hospital on the Gold Coast.
THE POSITION
As the Nurse Unit Manager, you will hold a key leadership and management role and be accountable for the department's efficient and effective management of all resources. You will encompass planning, implementing and evaluating practices, processes and services within the department. You will also be responsible for working with and supporting other managers in achieving excellence in care delivery, in line with best practice and legislative requirements. Working closely with the Executive team, you will help shape organisational strategies, improve service provisions and achieve departmental and hospital strategic objectives.
THE CANDIDATE 
As the successful applicant, you will possess the following attributes:
  • Current Registration with AHPRA;
  • Minimum of 3 years’ management or team leading experience;
  • Recent Rehabilitation experience;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to ensure excellence in customer service;
  • Demonstrated clinical risk management and WH&S.

 

THE FACILITY
Hospital is an acute medical/surgical facility located on the southern end of the Gold Coast. The range of hospital services offered includes a 24-hour Emergency Department, cardiology, including interventional cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery, general medicine, renal dialysis, gastroenterology, general surgery, oncology, orthopaedics, urology, gynaecology, and rehabilitation.
