An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Clinical Nurse to join a professional perioperative team in a theatre complex at a hospital in Cairns. This will be a permanent part-time position - 48 hours per fortnight. To succeed in this position, you will have proven clinical skills, an enthusiasm for coaching, teaching, and ongoing professional development of nursing staff.
ABOUT THE POSITION
This role is well suited to a passionate mentor driven to see their team members succeed and grow. You will be responsible for providing education to New Graduate Nurses, nurses transitioning into the perioperative environment, and the ongoing professional development of staff within the department.
The successful applicant will meet the following criteria:
- Relevant qualifications and Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse;
- At least 5 years of experience in a Perioperative setting;
- Proven specialty experience in either Anaesthetics/Recovery, as a Scrub Scout, or both is essential;
- Must have Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or working towards;
- Post-graduate qualifications in relevant areas are highly desired.
