An exciting opportunity has become available for a Registered Nurse in the Acute Medical Unit with cardiac telemetry and Medical Assessment Unit (MAU) at a private hospital in Sydney. The role entails 12-hour shifts in a cutting-edge workplace that utilises EMR (electronic medical records) and MEDCHART (medication management/administration) systems.

ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering evidence-based nursing care;
  • Liaising with the multi-disciplinary team;
  • Ensuring patient and staff safety;
  • Supervising, directing and guiding nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) to deliver patient care;
  • Delivering education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
  • Current AHPRA registration;
  • Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent;
  • At least 1 year in an Acute hospital setting experience is essential;
  • Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills;
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, proactive, motivated, and patient-focused;
  • Clinical expertise and commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous improvement;
  • Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high-functioning team;
  • Passion for delivering quality patient-centered care;
  • Flexibility with shift allocations and the commitment to work a rotating roster.

REMUNERATION

$35.46 - $49.79 per hour.

The hospital, located in Sydney, provides world-class, Level 5 delineation services for both public and private patients. The hospital features 486 beds, a 50-bed Emergency Department, a 20-bed general and cardiothoracic ICU, 14 state-of-the-art theatres including cardiac catheter labs, a world-class education centre, a doctor's lounge, excellent staff facilities, a café and car parking.
