Registered Nurse – Cardiac | Melbourne

As a Registered Nurse - Cardiac, your responsibilities will include the following:

• Undertaking peri-operative nursing care in accordance with legislation;
• Delivering evidence-based nursing care;
• Liaising with the multi-disciplinary team;
• Ensuring patient and staff safety;
• Supervising, directing, and guiding nursing team members, including Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and AINs, in delivering patient care;
• Proactively assessing the perioperative nursing care provided to achieve the best possible outcomes for patients;
• Completing all required documentation in accordance with local and national policies;
• Caring for a variety of cardiac patients, including those with heart failure, chest pain, and arrhythmias;
• Caring for patients pre- and post-Cath Lab procedures, including coronary angiograms and PPMs;
• Preparing patients for CABG and valve surgeries.

• Current registration with AHPRA;
• Minimum 2 years' experience in an acute hospital setting, ideally in a cardiac ward;
• Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;
• Commitment to quality patient care;
• Ability to work well independently and within a team;
• Exceptional time management and organisational skills;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
