A new opportunity has opened up for a Registered Nurse to join the Day Surgery team at a prestigious private hospital in Sydney. In this permanent part-time role (30 hours per week), you will be a key member of a supportive team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care. ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering evidence-based nursing care and patient-centered care;
- Liaising with the multi-disciplinary team;
- Ensuring patient and staff safety;
- Supervising, directing, and guiding nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) to deliver patient care;
- Delivering education and support to patients for the management of their health requirements.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current registration with AHPRA;
- Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent;
- At least 1 year of acute DSU/surgical care experience;
- Authority to Work in Australia;
- Working with Children check (if relevant);
- Previous experience in a Day Surgery Unit or a Surgical Ward setting;
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;
- Demonstrated ability to show initiative and work within a team environment;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Passion for patient-centered care.

REMUNERATION
$35.46 - $49.79 per hour.

The hospital, located in Sydney's North West, is a private 277-bed high acuity facility with an Emergency Department. The complex has 19 theatres (including Endoscopy), 32 first-stage recovery bays, as well as an additional 32 second-stage chairs & 16 pre-operative beds in the day surgery unit. The specialties include General (including laparoscopic), Colorectal, Bariatric, Orthopaedic, Cardiothoracic, ENT, Plastics, Paediatric, Oral & Dental, Gynaecology & Obstetrics, Ophthalmic, Gastroenterology, Neurosurgery, Urology, Angiography, and Vascular surgery.
