A new opportunity has opened up for a Registered Nurse to join the Day Surgery team at a prestigious private hospital in Sydney. In this permanent part-time role (30 hours per week), you will be a key member of a supportive team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care. This diverse position offers the chance to work with an interesting and varied case mix, making every day uniquely rewarding.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering evidence-based nursing care and patient-centered care;
- Liaising with the multi-disciplinary team;
- Ensuring patient and staff safety;
- Supervising, directing, and guiding nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) to deliver patient care;
- Delivering education and support to patients for the management of their health requirements.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current registration with AHPRA;
- Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent;
- At least 1 year of acute DSU/surgical care experience;
- Authority to Work in Australia;
- Working with Children check (if relevant);
- Previous experience in a Day Surgery Unit or a Surgical Ward setting;
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;
- Demonstrated ability to show initiative and work within a team environment;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Passion for patient-centered care.

REMUNERATION
$35.46 - $49.79 per hour.
ABOUT THE FACILITY
The hospital, located in Sydney's North West, is a private 277-bed high acuity facility with an Emergency Department. The complex has 19 theatres (including Endoscopy), 32 first-stage recovery bays, as well as an additional 32 second-stage chairs & 16 pre-operative beds in the day surgery unit. The specialties include General (including laparoscopic), Colorectal, Bariatric, Orthopaedic, Cardiothoracic, ENT, Plastics, Paediatric, Oral & Dental, Gynaecology & Obstetrics, Ophthalmic, Gastroenterology, Neurosurgery, Urology, Angiography, and Vascular surgery.
