An outstanding opportunity awaits a talented and passionate Registered Nurse specialised in Orthopaedics to join the Perioperative department at a private hospital in Melbourne. This role can be either permanent full-time working 9 days per fortnight or part-time with shifts of 10, 8, and 6 hours to allow for work /life balance.

This position will be pivotal in helping to manage the day-to-day functioning of the Theatre department as well as being responsible for your assigned portfolio, as well as engaging with all key stakeholders.

Your duties will involve: 
  • Delivering evidence-based nursing care, liaising with the multidisciplinary team;
  • Ensuring patient and staff safety;
  • Supervising, directing, and guiding nursing team members;
  • Providing education and support to patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation, or end-of-life needs.


  • Current registration with AHPRA;
  • Previous experience in a Perioperative scrub/scout is desirable;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication;
  • The ability to work as a cohesive member of the team.


The facility is a 164-bed hospital that offers an extensive array of healthcare services. Onsite, there are 11 general operating rooms to support various medical procedures. The facility is a frontrunner in the field of orthopedic care. The core areas of expertise encompass  ENT/Otolaryngology, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Pediatrics, Oncology, General Surgery, Ophthalmology, Respiratory and Sleep Medicine, Rehabilitation, Urology, and Breast Cancer Surgery.
