Excellent career opportunities exist for dynamic and experienced perioperative nurses to join a busy theatre unit at a private hospital on the Mornington Peninsula. Permanent full-time and part-time opportunities are available.

ROLE OVERVIEW
In this role, you will work within the busy Theatre team caring for patients within the operating department alongside a diverse team of medical professionals, nurses, and support team members.

You will review, plan, and deliver patient care with the support and guidance of the Perioperative Services Manager and Shift Leaders to ensure a high level of quality service is provided to the patients.

REQUIREMENTS
  • You will hold a passion for client care and a high standard of customer-focused service;
  • You will have exceptional communication skills and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment;

You will also bring;

  • Relevant qualifications and Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse;
  • Minimum 1-year experience as a Scrub Scout;
  • Orthopaedic experience required;
  • Relevant post-graduate specialty qualifications will be highly regarded, though not essential.

REMUNERATION

$ 34.39- $ 47.55 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. 

ABOUT THE FACILITY
The hospital, located on the Mornington Peninsula, is a fully accredited hospital with 4 operating theatres, an angiography suite, a short stay unit, HDU, surgical, medical, oncology/palliative care, psychiatry, a new rehabilitation unit including inpatient, outpatient and hydrotherapy services and alcohol rehabilitation. 

The Operating Theatre unit services a variety of specialties, including Orthopaedics, General, Gynae, Dental, Endoscopy, Ophthalmic, Urology, Pain Management and Plastics Surgery.
