Excellent opportunities exist for experienced Coronary Care Registered Nurses with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills to join the Coronary Care Unit at a private hospital in Melbourne. Permanent full-time positions are available. Suitable applicants with cardiac, general medical, or surgical backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

As a Coronary Care Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for:
  • Delivering evidence-based nursing care;
  • Liaising with the multi-disciplinary team;
  • Ensuring patient and staff safety;
  • Supervising, directing, and guiding nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs), and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to deliver patient care;
  • Delivering education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation, or end-of-life needs.


  • Current Registration with AHPRA;
  • Ability to work three 12-hour shifts a week (with four shifts a week every six weeks);
  • Post Graduate Certificate in ICU/CCU (or working towards);
  • Specialty nursing experience (desired);
  • Commitment to Quality Patient Care;
  • Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;
  • Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills;
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills;
  • Ability to work well independently and within a team;
  • Basic computer skills;


$35.33 per hour - $47.25 per hour.

The hospital, located in Melbourne, is an acute 122-bed facility providing a range of medical and surgical services. The hospital offers highly specialised services, including extensive neurosurgery, neurology, advanced coronary care, cardiothoracic, orthopaedic, and general surgery. A 10-bed intensive care unit, 4-bed acute coronary care unit, and 6-bed neurosurgical high dependency unit support these services.
