Exciting new opportunities are available for passionate and experienced Intensive Care Unit nurses to provide expert care to critically ill patients at a leading private hospital in Sydney. While a 24/7 rotational roster is in place, the hospital offers flexible self-rostering and a variety of shift patterns to suit your preferences.
POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Registered Nurse in the ICU, you will be a proactive team player with the skills and enthusiasm to thrive in a dynamic environment. You will mentor junior staff, contribute to quality improvement initiatives, and deliver high-quality patient care. For the right candidate, there is the opportunity to progress to a Clinical Nurse Specialist role, with support provided through a structured career development pathway.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Current registration with the AHPRA;
- At least 5 years of post-graduate experience in an ICU;
- Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills;
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, proactive, motivated, and customer-focused;
- Commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous improvement;
- Post Graduate Certificate in Critical Care Nursing (desirable).
REMUNERATION
$35.46 - $49.79 per hour.
ABOUT THE FACILITY
The hospital, located in beautiful Frenchs Forest, provides high-quality services for public and private patients. It features 486 beds, a 50-bed Emergency Department,14 state-of-the-art theatres including cardiac catheter labs, a world-class education center, a doctor's lounge, and excellent staff facilities, including café and car parking. The ICU has 20 beds. It is a general Intensive Care Unit catering to the needs of the area with key specialties, including cardiothoracic, neurosurgery, general surgery, and complex medical cases. The culture there is young, friendly, and open to ideas.
