There are new opportunities for motivated Registered Nurses to work in the 9-bed Emergency Department and to help shape what high-quality and safe care looks like for emergency patients at a private hospital in Hobart. Permanent full-time and part-time positions are available.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include:
- Performing triage and providing immediate medical care to patients with acute injuries and illnesses;
- Administering treatments, monitoring vital signs, and coordinating with other healthcare professionals to stabilise patients;
- Ensuring patient and staff safety;
- Supervising, directing and supporting your team members to deliver family-centred care;
- Deliver education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their care.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Current Registration with AHPRA;
- Minimum 2 years in an Emergency Nursing Environment;
- Experience in triaging patients using the five-level scale system;
- Commitment to Quality Patient Care;
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;
- Proven and sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to work well independently and within a team;
- Excellent communication and customer service skills;
- Proficient computer skills.

REMUNERATION
$38.91-$51.59 per hour + Shift Allowances
ABOUT THE FACILITY
The hospital, located in Hobart, is a fully accredited facility with 146 beds, providing a unique range of acute services, including general surgery, specialty care in orthopaedics, urology, gynaecology, breast, colorectal, oral, vascular, plastic, and obesity surgery, as well as select paediatric surgery. The Maternity suites are designed on the contemporary labour/deliver/recover model, fitted with state-of-the-art technology, including K2 fetal monitoring systems, and provide various resources used during childbirth.
