A new opportunity awaits a Senior Registered Nurse with demonstrated broad knowledge and clinical expertise in all areas of patient care to join a fast-paced Accident and Emergency Department at a private hospital in Perth. This is a permanent full-time role.
ROLE OVERVIEW
You will work in one of the busiest Emergency Departments in Western Australia, which is treating a truly interesting and diverse case mix and has 77 patient bays, which is made up of adult treatment bays, a 15-bed emergency admission area, a 10-bed Mental Health Observation Area, an 11-bed paediatric treatment and observation area and three resuscitation bays.
In this role, you will be working in partnership with the Clinical Nurse Manager, and you will assist with unit-based education/training activities within the department and have ongoing responsibility for mentoring, role development and enhancing the skills of nursing staff to ensure a high level of clinical care is delivered.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Current registration with AHPRA;
- Minimum of five years' experience working in an Emergency Department with both adult and paediatric emergency expertise or three years' experience and an Emergency Specialty Post Graduate qualification;
- Ability to manage designated portfolio and display sound leadership skills;
- Demonstrated knowledge/experience in accreditation processes, clinical indicators and other quality projects;
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills;
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required.

REMUNERATION
On offer is a full-time equivalent, base annual salary ranging from $102,387.90 - $108,784.58 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.

The hospital, with a total of 722 beds and bays, is the major hospital for Perth's northern corridor that provides a range of medical and surgical services, maternity services, neonatal and paediatric services, aged care, and rehabilitation. The hospital has an Emergency Department, After Hours GP Clinic, and on-site MRI. Specialties include Medical Specialties, which include General Medicine, Respiratory, Gerontology, Cardiac Services, and Stroke Services Unit. Surgical Specialities include but are not limited to General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, Urology, Vascular, ENT, Paediatrics, and Gynaecology.
