Clinical Nurse – Emergency Department | Perth

A new opportunity awaits a Senior Registered Nurse with demonstrated broad knowledge and clinical expertise in all areas of patient care to join a fast-paced Accident and Emergency Department at a private hospital in Perth. This is a permanent full-time role.

You will work in one of the busiest Emergency Departments in Western Australia, which is treating a truly interesting and diverse case mix and has 77 patient bays, which is made up of adult treatment bays, a 15-bed emergency admission area, a 10-bed Mental Health Observation Area, an 11-bed paediatric treatment and observation area and three resuscitation bays.

In this role, you will be working in partnership with the Clinical Nurse Manager, and you will assist with unit-based education/training activities within the department and have ongoing responsibility for mentoring, role development and enhancing the skills of nursing staff to ensure a high level of clinical care is delivered. 

• Current registration with AHPRA;
• Minimum of five years' experience working in an Emergency Department with both adult and paediatric emergency expertise or three years' experience and an Emergency Specialty Post Graduate qualification;
• Ability to manage designated portfolio and display sound leadership skills;
• Demonstrated knowledge/experience in accreditation processes, clinical indicators and other quality projects;
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills;
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required.

REMUNERATION

On offer is a full-time equivalent, base annual salary ranging from $102,387.90 - $108,784.58 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.
