ABOUT THE ROLE
As an Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN), you will be:
- Delivering research-based standards of nursing care;
- Taking a leadership role in the coordination of nursing care and working in partnership with Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs);
- Providing supervision, direction and guidance to deliver patient care;
- Providing support and guidance to nursing peers and patients for the management of their health care, rehabilitation or end-of-life needs;
- Maintaining a professional development portfolio with a commitment to ongoing learning and development.
REQUIREMENTS
Your skills should include the following:
- Currently registered as a Registered Nurse with the AHPRA;
- Minimum 3 years' experience in an Emergency Nursing environment (preferably both adult and paediatric);
- Post Graduate Certificate in Emergency Nursing (or working towards) (desirable);
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;
- Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills;
- Excellent communication and customer service skills;
- Ability to work well independently and within a team.

REMUNERATION
$41.21 - $54.89 per hour
ABOUT THE FACILITY
The hospital, located in Sydney, provides world-class, Level 5 delineation services for both public and private patients. The hospital features 486 beds, a 50-bed Emergency Department, a 20-bed general cardiothoracic ICU, 14 state-of-the-art theatres including cardiac catheter labs, a world-class education center, a doctor's lounge, excellent staff facilities, a café, and car parking. The Day of Surgery Admissions provides care to patients being admitted for a theatre procedure, whether they are being admitted for a day procedure or for a longer stay. The DOSA is a 40-bed department.
