A new opportunity has become available for an experienced Cardiac and Vascular Interventional Services Nurse seeking career advancement or a fresh challenge. This role offers the chance to step into a Clinical Educator position at a leading private hospital in Perth. There is a possibility to work on a part-time or full-time basis.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating and facilitating educational programs that contribute to the professional development of nurses within the Cardiac Catheter Laboratory environment, including coronary, vascular and structural heart specialties;
- Leading, mentoring, and inspiring nursing staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development;
- Communicating with multidisciplinary teams, patients and stakeholders, with a strong focus on collaboration and relationship-building;
- Objectively evaluating and assessing learning needs and outcomes;
- Delivering hands-on practical education;
- Undertaking education presentations.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current Registration with AHPRA;
- Minimum of 3 years of cardiac and vascular interventional services experience;
- Postgraduate qualifications in cardiac nursing or commitment to obtaining the same;
- Certificate IV in workplace assessment and training;
- Demonstrated involvement in audit and quality improvement initiatives, including the ability to identify areas for enhancement, implement evidence-based changes and evaluate outcomes to improve patient care and service delivery;
- Ability to use simulation modalities to enhance training delivery.

Situated in Perth, the hospital offers an extensive array of services across various adult medical specialties. Notably, the Angiography suite operates as a highly active unit, performing more than 4,120 coronary and vascular procedures each year, and its services continue to expand. The Cath Labs within this suite offer a wide range of specialized services, including coronary angiograms, percutaneous coronary intervention, electrophysiology with 3D mapping ablations, FFR and IVUS procedures, cardiac implantable devices, vascular interventions, and complex cases involving structural heart issues such as PFOs, LAAOs, TAVI, and Mitral Valve prosthetic implantations. The hospital benefits from a dedicated and experienced team of nursing staff and radiographers who consistently provide top-quality care and service.
Additionally, the hospital now boasts three brand-new, state-of-the-art Angiography suites located adjacent to a 41-bed coronary care unit. In conjunction with these three labs, there is also a Hybrid suite within the theatre complex, conveniently connected to the 10-bed Level 3 Intensive Care Unit.
