Nursing Educator – Perioperative | Orange

An exciting opportunity has emerged for an experienced and highly skilled Perioperative Nurse to provide education, clinical leadership, and expert support across Day Surgery, Anaesthetics, Recovery, and Scrub/Scout services at a private hospital and Surgical Centre located in Orange. This is a permanent part-time role with flexible rostering.

• Acting as a clinical expert and resource for staff across all aspects of perioperative nursing;
• Providing ongoing education, supervision, and mentorship to nursing staff;
• Developing and facilitating training sessions, learning activities, and competency assessments;
• Collaborating with the Nurse Unit Manager on staff appraisals, audits, and quality improvement initiatives;
• Fostering a positive and professional learning culture while maintaining strong relationships with medical and multidisciplinary teams.

• Current AHPRA registration;
• Minimum 5 years of post-graduate experience in an acute hospital setting;
• Demonstrated post-registration nursing experience within the perioperative space;
• Experience in nursing education and staff development;
• Demonstrated ability to educate staff in formal and informal settings;
• Post-graduate qualifications in the perioperative environment or Clinical Education (or working towards) are highly regarded;
• Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment is highly regarded.

REMUNERATION

A base hourly rate of $56.82 + superannuation + applicable penalty rates based on experience level and qualifications.
