Excellent part-time opportunities exist for motivated Registered Nurses - Scrub Scout to become part of a dedicated and hard-working team of healthcare professionals, committed to delivering high-quality patient care across six operating theatres at a private hospital on the Mornington Peninsula. The team supports a wide range of surgical specialties, including Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, FMS, General Surgery, Urology, Vascular Surgery, Pain Management, and Gynaecology.

ABOUT THE ROLE 
The successful candidates will be punctual, reliable and with a commitment to genuine, friendly customer service. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Delivering evidence-based nursing care, liaising with the multi-disciplinary team;
  • Ensuring patient and staff safety;
  • Acting as a role model for Safe Practice;
  • Providing education and support to patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation, or end-of-life needs.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Current Registration with AHPRA;
  • Minimum 1 year of perioperative experience;
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a supportive service;
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and a strong customer service focus;
  • Demonstrate the ability to assess, plan, coordinate and evaluate the care delivery needs of patients;
  • Exhibits exceptional customer service and time management abilities;
  • Capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment while maintaining positive working relationships with others;
  • Ability to work a rotating roster.

The hospital, located on the Mornington Peninsula, is a 205-bed facility equipped with 6 operating theatres, a high-dependency unit, and a short-stay unit. This modern facility offers a wide range of local services, including orthopaedic, general, breast, and plastic surgery, as well as endoscopy, urology, gynaecology, oncology, and general medicine.
