An exciting opportunity is available for a dynamic and passionate educator to join the Learning and Development Team and contribute to a service of educational excellence in a fast-growing private hospital in regional NSW. This is a permanent part-time position. 

ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Hospital Education Coordinator, you will contribute to and participate in the education of all levels of staff by being involved in department orientation, in-servicing and clinical competence programs. You will also make a valuable contribution to the hospital's quality improvement processes.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Current registration with AHPRA;
  • Relevant post-graduate qualification plus 3 years experience working in the clinical specialty/area OR A minimum of 4 years post-basic registration experience, including 3 years experience in the relevant specialist field;
  • Knowledge of work contracts and methods of assisting and facilitating learning;
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required;
  • Computer literacy in all Microsoft Software applications;
  • Completed Preceptorship Program (desirable);
  • Certificate IV Workplace Training & Assessment (desirable);
  • Excellent time management skills.

ABOUT THE FACILITY 

Hospital, located in Coffs Harbour, is a 78-bed licensed hospital, providing advanced surgery, interventional coronary angiography including the implantation of pacemakers and defibrillators, orthopaedics, endovascular & general surgery, general medical, rehabilitation, palliative care, and mental health. The theatre complex offers state-of-the-art operating facilities, along with a day surgery unit onsite. The facility has a day medical unit that caters to patients requiring chemotherapy and day intravenous therapy.
