Exciting opportunities are available for highly motivated Registered Nurses with excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care to join the Oncology/Medical Ward at a private hospital in Melbourne.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include:
  • Delivering safe, research-based standards of nursing care;
  • Liaising with the multi-disciplinary team;
  • Ensuring patient and staff safety;
  • Supervising, directing, and guiding nursing team members to deliver patient care;
  • Delivering education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation, or end-of-life needs.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Current Registration with AHPRA;
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Medical Oncology, Palliative Care, or complex cases;
  • Competency in chemotherapy administration will be highly regarded;
  • Working with Children check;
  • Commitment to Quality Patient Care;
  • Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;
  • Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills;
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills;
  • Works well independently and within a team;
  • Basic computer skills.

REMUNERATION

Salaries range between $36.13 and $48.32 per hour.

The hospital, located in southeastern Melbourne, is a state-of-the-art 147-bed hospital, comprising a 24/7 Emergency Department, 6-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 9-bed specialized Coronary Care Unit (CCU), 12-bay Day Infusion Unit, and 5 specialized inpatient units. - including Oncology, Urology, ENT, Orthopaedics, Plastic Surgery, Interventional Cardiology, and Rehabilitation Services. The hospital has established an excellent reputation in the community for its high commitment to customer service, staff satisfaction, and quality improvement.
