ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Clinical Nurse Educator, you will be contributing to the strategic plan of the Hospital Education Department as an essential member of the team, along with the care and education of undergraduates joining the hospital.
Additionally, you will be:
- Delivering high-quality, evidence-based training and support to staff at our hospital;
- Developing, implementing, and evaluating learning and development programs across the facility;
- Providing valuable contributions to the hospital's quality improvement processes;
- Facilitating department-based training and clinical competency assessments for undergraduates.
Reporting to the DCS, you will be performing duties with the support and guidance of the Floor Managers, ensuring a high level of quality patient care is delivered in line with the care values and strategic direction of the Hospital.
REQUIREMENTS
- Relevant current registration with AHPRA;
- Minimum four (4) years' experience, with demonstrated involvement in education, training, and competency development;
- Postgraduate qualification (or working towards) highly desirable;
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) or equivalent adult education qualification desirable;
- Experience supporting accreditation processes, including participation in quality improvement activities, policy implementation, and compliance with national standards;
- Demonstrated ability to act as a positive professional role model, promoting safe practice, teamwork, and a culture of continuous learning;
- Leadership and team facilitation experience, supporting staff development, orientation programs, and clinical competency frameworks;
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise education initiatives within a busy theatre environment;
- Well-developed clinical problem-solving and critical thinking skills;
- A strong commitment to mentoring and coaching staff, fostering professional growth, and positively influencing team performance and patient outcomes.

REMUNERATION
$58.89 - $61.99 per hour.

The hospital, located in beautiful Goulburn Valley, is a 69-bed acute surgical and medical facility. The hospital has 3 fully equipped Operating Theatres, a High Dependency Unit, and a Day Procedure Unit. The hospital is equipped with advanced medical, surgical, and diagnostic technology.
