Exciting opportunities await an experienced and motivated Cardiac Registered Nurse to join a fast-paced Cardiac and Coronary Care Unit team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a high-acuity environment caring for patients undergoing complex cardiac and thoracic procedures at a private hospital in Sydney. This is a permanent full-time position.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering high-quality, patient-centred nursing care in a fast-paced cardiac environment;
- Monitoring and managing post-operative cardiac and thoracic surgery patients;
- Caring for patients undergoing interventional cardiology and structural heart procedures;
- Performing cardiac monitoring and recognising/responding to patient deterioration;
- Collaborating closely with cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons and multidisciplinary teams;
- Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and participating in quality improvement initiatives;
- Supporting patients and families through recovery and education;
- Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective care delivery in alignment with hospital policies.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current registration with AHPRA;
- Minimum 12 months' experience working in an acute setting (Cardiac preferred);
- Ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team;
- Highly organised with a proven ability to manage emergency situations;
- Demonstrates strong adaptability in dynamic situations;
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.

REMUNERATION
A base hourly rate of $40.24 - $56.52 + superannuation, exclusive of penalties and allowances.
ABOUT THE FACILITY
The hospital is located in Sydney's South and is an advanced surgical and acute medical facility. The hospital offers the latest 3D spinal imaging, multi-disciplinary medical and nursing care, an ICU, and "one-on-one" physiotherapy and performs over 3000 orthopaedic procedures yearly. The Endoscopy unit is situated within the Day Surgery Unit. It consists of 3 procedure rooms and provides a range of procedures, such as diagnostic and therapeutic Endoscopy, ERCPs and Dental.
