Exciting opportunities are available for a highly experienced Clinical Midwife to join a collaborative multidisciplinary team at a private hospital in Brisbane. This is a part-time role that plays a vital role in educating, advocating for, and empowering women through high-quality clinical expertise and continuity of care.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Clinical Midwife, you will provide compassionate, evidence-based, and family-centered care to women and their families throughout pregnancy, labor, birth, and the postnatal period. Working autonomously and as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you will manage both normal and complex care outcomes while ensuring a safe, supportive clinical environment. Additionally, you will mentor junior midwifery staff and student midwives, contributing to a culture of continuous learning and professional excellence. In this leadership-focused role, you will deliver expert clinical care to women and newborns while supporting and mentoring the wider midwifery team. You will promote safe, high-quality maternity practices and provide clinical guidance in complex or high-acuity situations, contributing to education, quality improvement and professional excellence.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current AHPRA registration;
- Minimum of 5 years post-registration experience, including at least 3 years in maternity and obstetrics;
- Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge and problem-solving skills;
- Relevant postgraduate qualification (highly regarded);
- Knowledge of quality and continuous improvement processes;
- Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to deliver high-quality patient care in a multidisciplinary environment.

REMUNERATION
On offer is a base hourly rate ranging from $54.72 - $58.82 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.
