An exciting opportunity awaits an experienced Nurse Educator to join the established Perioperative Team at a private hospital in Brisbane. This permanent full-time role is ideal for a passionate nurse with a strong focus on education, staff development and delivering quality patient outcomes. 

ABOUT THE ROLE
As an Operating Theatre Educator, your responsibilities will include:
  • Identifying educational needs by partnering with Nursing Leaders (i.e. DON, NUM, CNS) and Clinical Support Functions (i.e. Quality, Infection Control);
  • Leading and fostering a positive learning environment;
  • Maintaining professional and constructive working relationships;
  • Leading and supporting quality activities and programs;
  • Prioritising patient safety and quality frameworks.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Current registration with AHPRA;
  • Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent qualification;
  • Certificate in workplace assessment and training;
  • Post Graduate Qualification in perioperative nursing or clinical education;
  • Certificate IV Workplace Assessment & Training (TAE);
  • Thorough knowledge of ACORN standards and current legislation;
  • 3+ years clinical experience in perioperative nursing;
  • Demonstrated experience in eLearning platforms;
  • Proven communication and interpersonal skills;
  • High degree of computer literacy including MS Office;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • WWCC;
  • Post Graduate qualification in area of clinical practice (desirable);
  • Current Police Check.

ABOUT THE FACILITY 

Located in Brisbane, the hospital is a 65-bed acute and rehabilitation facility comprising six operating theatres, with a new High Dependency Unit scheduled to open. The hospital provides a comprehensive range of specialist services, including orthopaedics, general surgery, urology, gynaecology, gastroenterology, ophthalmology and internal medicine, alongside leading rehabilitation services and innovative patient-centred programs.
