An exciting opportunity is available for a highly motivated and experienced Anaesthetic Registered Nurse to join the Perioperative Team on a permanent part-time basis at a private hospital in Melbourne. You will play a key role within a supportive team in ensuring high levels of patient care is provided.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include:
  • Preparing patients for surgery, preparing anaesthesia equipment, assisting in anaesthesia administration;
  • Providing patient care and recovery and monitoring vital signs post-op;
  • Providing evidence-based care, ensuring patient and staff safety;
  • Liaising with the multidisciplinary team;
  • Contributing to efficient theatre operations and positive patient flow outcomes.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Current Registration with AHPRA;
  • Working rights within Australia;
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in Anaesthetics and Recovery;
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and adapt to changing clinical demands;
  • Confidence to liaise with and support VMOs;
  • Commitment to patient safety, quality improvement and clinical excellence;
  • Excellent communication, teamwork and time management skills;
  • Postgraduate qualification in Perioperative Nursing or working towards completion (desirable);
  • Knowledge of ACORN standards and guidelines.
