An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse to join a modern 14-bed Intensive Care Unit at a private hospital in Melbourne. This full-time or part-time role requires a minimum of three years' critical care experience.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As an ICU Registered Nurse, you will provide exceptional patient care within a dynamic critical care environment that supports some of the most advanced medical and surgical services in Melbourne's east. You will work alongside experienced clinicians, specialists, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, evidence-based care while continuing to develop your critical care skills and expertise.
As a Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering high-quality, patient-centred care using evidence-based practice;
- Performing comprehensive patient assessments and clinical interventions;
- Collaborating with medical specialists and multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes;
- Building strong relationships with VMOs, patients, and families;
- Contributing to a positive team culture focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement;
- Maintaining professional practice standards in accordance with AHPRA.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current registration with AHPRA;
- Minimum three years' experience within an ICU or critical care environment;
- Postgraduate qualification in Critical Care/Intensive Care Nursing (desirable), or willingness to work towards one;
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- A collaborative approach and commitment to teamwork;
- Flexibility to work across a 24/7 rotating roster;
- A genuine passion for delivering safe, compassionate, and high-quality patient care.

REMUNERATION
Salaries range between $41.90 and $53.69 + 12.5% Super.

The hospital, located in Melbourne, is a fully accredited tertiary facility with 334 beds that provides Emergency Services, Intensive Care and Cardiac Services, including a 24-hour Cardiac Cath Lab and Victoria's only Single-Site Robotic Surgery Program. The hospital has 11 operating theatres, which offer a broad range of specialties, including Cardiac, Neurosurgery, Plastics, Orthopaedics, Urology, Laparoscopic, Colorectal, Vascular and General Surgery. Specialised wards include two orthopaedic wards, two cardiac, dedicated medical, and specialty surgical wards.
