Registered Nurse – Cardiac Services | Adelaide

An exciting opportunity has arisen for highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurses with extensive cardiac nursing experience to join the dynamic Cardiac Services team at a private hospital in Adelaide. Cardiac Services includes a 31-bed ward specialising in medical and interventional cardiology, arrhythmia management and cardiothoracic surgery, supported by a 6-bed Coronary Care Unit and a 24/7, 10-bed Cardiac Emergency Centre. Full-time and part-time positions are available across a 7-day roster, including a mix of shifts.

As the Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include:

• Working effectively as part of a collaborative team;
• Completing tasks in a timely, professional and efficient manner;
• Leading by example, maintaining a positive attitude and supporting the development of junior staff through mentoring;
• Committing to continuous quality improvement and delivering exceptional patient-centred care.

REQUIREMENTS

• Current AHPRA Registration;
• Previous cardiac experience (Graduate Diploma and ALS desirable);
• Current South Australian DHS Working with Children Clearance;
• Ability to lead by example, demonstrating the professionalism and culture;
• Committed to continuous quality improvement;
• Committed to the provision of quality nursing care, education and customer service;
• Proven communication and interpersonal skills;
• Demonstrated understanding of National Safety and Quality Service Standards, ACHA policies and procedures;
• Proven ability to effectively manage under pressure with competing demands;
• Ability to work flexible hours;
• Positive attitude towards leadership, and potential management skills.

The hospital, located in Adelaide,  is a modern acute facility providing a range of specialties, including obstetric, cardiac, critical care, orthopaedic, surgical, and medical services. The Operating Suite comprises 9 Theatres and operates electively over a 6-day week.
