Registered Nurse/Midwife – Special Care Nursery | Sydney

• Providing quality nursing care by assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating individual patient and newborn care;
• Providing a standard of care appropriate to the individual's level of experience and education, while maintaining high-quality nursing care within a safe environment;
• Developing and utilising strategies that promote an environment conducive to effective communication;
• Working in partnership with patients and families in decision-making regarding the provision of care and promoting positive therapeutic relationships;
• Supporting other wards across the hospital when required.

REQUIREMENTS

• Current registration with AHPRA;
• Clinical skills and motivation to ensure excellence in patient care and customer service;
• A minimum of 2 years postgraduate experience in Neonatal Intensive Care or Special Care; Nursery/Newborn Postnatal care;
• Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;
• Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills;
• Excellent communication and customer service skills;
• Works well independently and within a team.
