Allied Health Group Therapist (Psychologist / Social Worker) | Orange

An exciting opportunity has emerged for a group therapist to facilitate inpatient and day patient group therapy programs in a 15-bed adult mood disorders unit as part of a multidisciplinary team at a private hospital located in Orange. There are permanent part-time roles available.

In this role, you will facilitate individual and group-based therapy programs, provide psychoeducation to patients, carers, and families, and contribute to the development and implementation of evidence-based treatment plans.

You will play a key role in supporting patients through assessment, therapeutic interventions, and recovery-focused care, while working collaboratively within a dynamic clinical environment.

• Qualifications in relevant specialty, Occupational Therapist, Psychologist or Social Worker with current relevant registration with AHPRA;
• Experience leading both individual and group therapy sessions, as well as psychoeducation sessions for patients, carers, and families;
• Demonstrated clinical abilities in assessment, treatment planning, and intervention strategies such as CBT, ACT, DBT, as well as problem-solving techniques and crisis management;
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills;
• Ability to work autonomously and in a multidisciplinary team;
• Willingness to participate in a continuous quality improvement environment;
• Able to adapt group content for a varied audience whilst ensuring the integrity of evidence-based group therapy programs.
