Clinical Nurse Educator – ICU | Sydney

• Identifying educational needs by partnering with the ICU Nurse Unit Manager and Education Team to determine team and individual learning needs;
• Leading and fostering a learning environment by designing, developing and facilitating education packages, providing team and individual coaching and coordinating subject matter experts (external and internal) to deliver training;
• Orientating new staff members and upskilling novice staff members;
• Demonstrating professional practice as evidenced by adhering to AHPRA professional standards, code of ethics and conduct, legislative requirements, hospital's policies and processes, required registration, scope of practice, and patient confidentiality and privacy;
• Prioritising patient safety and quality frameworks by identifying areas of improvement, participating in case reviews and clinical audits as required;
• Acting as a valued member of the interdisciplinary team to provide exceptional patient care and quality education by providing supervision and teaching to staff and actively contributing to team processes and practices;
• Maintaining professional and constructive working relationships with our VMO partners, using a customer service mindset, to enable high-quality patient outcomes;
• Facilitating the Advanced Life Support Course (ACCCN) and the Cardiac Advanced Life Support program (in collaboration with the POWH).

• Current registration with APHRA;
• Minimum of 4 years' experience in ICU;
• Competency in post-operative cardiothoracic care will be highly regarded;
• Commitment to excellent standards of patient care;
• Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;
• Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills;
• Excellent communication and customer service skills;
• Works well independently and within a team;
• Good computer skills.
