An excellent opportunity is available for an enthusiastic Clinical Nurse Educator to lead, inspire and grow the next generation of mental health nurses at a private hospital in Melbourne. This role is integral to building a sustainable and highly skilled mental health workforce.

ABOUT THE ROLE 
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Leading and coordinating education, training, and professional development across Mental Health Services;
  • Supporting graduate nurses, new staff, and students through orientation, supervision, and competency development;
  • Promoting evidence-based practice and contemporary mental health care;
  • Driving mandatory training compliance and competency frameworks;
  • Partnering with Nurse Unit Managers and the leadership team to identify learning needs and workforce capability gaps;
  • Providing clinical leadership, support, and role modelling to nursing staff;
  • Contributing to quality improvement, patient safety, and clinical governance initiatives.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
  • Current Registration with AHPRA;
  • Significant experience in Mental Health Nursing;
  • Demonstrated clinical leadership and education experience;
  • Sound knowledge of clinical governance, quality and safety standards;
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and facilitation skills;
  • Postgraduate qualification in mental health nursing (preferably at Master's level);
  • Certificate IV Workplace Assessment & Training (desirable);
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (desirable).

The hospital, located in Melbourne, is a 127-bed acute facility offering patients a wide range of surgical, medical, maternity, mental health, and rehabilitation care. The hospital has 5 modern well, equipped interactive operating suites accommodating the following specialities: orthopaedics, gynaecology & obstetrics, urology, neurology, plastics, paediatrics, ENT, ophthalmology, general, and endoscopy.
