An experienced Clinical Nurse Educator has the chance to seize an excellent opportunity to become part of the Perioperative Team at a private hospital in Sydney on a permanent part-time basis (32 hours per week).
ABOUT THE ROLE
You will play a key role within a supportive team in ensuring high levels of patient care is provided. The role will cover Recovery and Anaesthetics and reports to the Theatre Nurse Educator.
As a Clinical Nurse Educator, your responsibilities will include:
- Identifying educational needs by partnering with Nursing Leaders (i.e. DON, NUM, CNS) and Clinical Support Functions (i.e. Quality, Infection Control);
- Leading and fostering a learning environment;
- Maintaining a professional and constructive working relationship;
- Prioritising patient safety and quality frameworks.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current registration with APHRA;
- Authority to Work in Australia;
- Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent;
- Certificate IV Workplace Assessment & Training (TAE);
- Working with Children check (if relevant);
- Thorough knowledge of ACORN standards and current legislation ;
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;
- Demonstrated experience in eLearning platforms;
- Knowledge of adult learning practises and contemporary education practises;
- High degree of computer literacy, including MS Office;
- Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high-functioning team;
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, proactive, motivated and customer-focused.

REMUNERATION
$64.30 - $70.19 per hour

The hospital, located in Southern Sydney, has 168 overnight beds and specialises in cardiothoracic surgery, neurosurgery, spinal surgery, endovascular surgery, interventional neuroradiology, general surgery, general medicine, liver surgery, orthopaedics, maternity and paediatrics. The hospital also has dedicated Day Surgery, a Coronary Care Unit, and an Intensive Care Unit. The facility has a reputation for delivering a continually high standard of clinical care.
