Clinical Nurse – ICU | Perth

A new opportunity is available for experienced and highly skilled Clinical Nurses to join the Intensive Care Unit at a private hospital in Perth. This full-time role offers the opportunity to provide leadership, support junior colleagues and contribute to the ongoing safety and excellence of the unit within a supportive, forward-thinking environment.

As a Clinical Nurse in our ICU, you will be instrumental in maintaining the highest standards of patient care. Your responsibilities will include guiding and mentoring junior team members, overseeing complex patient cases, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols, and actively participating in quality improvement initiatives. You will act as a vital resource for critical decision-making, demonstrating advanced clinical knowledge and exceptional communication skills. Your expertise will directly influence patient outcomes and contribute significantly to the professional development of the nursing team.

• Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse;
• Post-graduate qualification in Critical Care Nursing or equivalent extensive experience;
• Minimum of 3-5 years of recent experience in a busy Intensive Care Unit setting, including the role of shift coordinator;
• Cardiothoracic experience;
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities and experience in guiding junior staff;
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team;
• Proven ability in advanced clinical assessment, critical thinking, and independent decision-making;
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and quality improvement.

REMUNERATION

$56.40 - $59.93 per hour.
