An exciting opportunity exists for a Clinical Nurse who is passionate about educating and mentoring to join a dynamic Operating Theatre at a private hospital in Brisbane on a full-time or part-time basis.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Clinical Nurse - Recovery / PACU, your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing safe, quality care that meets current best practice standards;
- Supporting and liaising with the Perioperative Services Manager, staff, and VMO anaesthetist;
- Delivering evidence-based nursing care;
- Understanding of legislative requirements, ACORN and sterilisation standards;
- Knowledge of accreditation processes and Quality / Risk management;
- Ensuring patient and staff safety.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current registration with AHPRA;
- Previous experience in a CN / Recovery / PACU role, or practicing in the role of anesthetic nurse for more than 3-4 years in a team leader role;
- Completed relevant post-graduate qualification or commitment to commence within 12 months of appointment;
- Commitment to Quality Patient Care;
- Compliance with NSQHC National standards;
- Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills;
- Experience in a similar position (desired);
- Excellent Communication and Customer Service skills;
- Highly organised and strong ability to prioritise tasks.

REMUNERATION
$41.49 - $66.23 per hour.

The hospital, located in the South East of Brisbane, has 120 inpatient Surgical and Medical beds, a rehabilitation gym, 7 operating theatres, 2 procedure rooms, a day oncology unit, and an ICU; the facility provides care to the local community for over 40 years and continually embraces the highest quality of holistic patient care.
