Clinical Nurse – Scrub/Scout Neurosurgery | Perth

• Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with patients, staff, and VMOs from diverse backgrounds and cultures;
• Implementing strategies to ensure quality and risk management are integrated into daily activities;
• Ensuring effective allocation of theatre resources to avoid disruption to services;
• Providing exceptional customer service and person-centred, evidence-based care;
• Providing supervision and preceptorship to Enrolled Nurses, graduates, and students;
• Working as a valued member of an interdisciplinary team, managing own time and personal well-being;
• Leading successful quality improvement and safety management projects to deliver desired outcomes;
• Participating in clinical and compliance auditing;
• Taking a lead nursing role in the operating theatre to ensure consistent service delivery and effective management of departmental/specialty resources.

REQUIREMENTS

• Current Registration with AHPRA;
• Previous experience with Neurosurgery (5 years minimum essential);
• A relevant post-graduate qualifications (desirable);
• Exceptional clinical expertise and knowledge of procedures and the management of patients within the perioperative setting;
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment;
• Well-developed communication skills.

Notably, the Angiography suite operates as a highly active unit, performing more than 4,120 coronary and vascular procedures each year, and its services continue to expand. The Cath Labs within this suite offer a wide range of specialized services, including coronary angiograms, percutaneous coronary intervention, electrophysiology with 3D mapping ablations, FFR and IVUS procedures, cardiac implantable devices, vascular interventions, and complex cases involving structural heart issues such as PFOs, LAAOs, TAVI, and Mitral Valve prosthetic implantations. Additionally, the hospital now boasts three brand-new, state-of-the-art Angiography suites located adjacent to a 41-bed coronary care unit.
