There are new opportunities for an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist - Emergency Department to work 3-5 days per week at a private hospital in Hobart, contributing to the efficient, effective, and economical running of the unit. This role offers flexibility, career growth, and is available on a full-time or part-time basis.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing leadership and direction to the Emergency Department in alignment with the hospital's strategic direction, operational processes, budget, and business objectives;
- Delivering advanced clinical practice alongside professional behaviour and a strong commitment to ongoing professional development, in addition to core emergency nursing responsibilities;
- Integrating higher-level, evidence-based specialisation into clinical practice relevant to the Emergency Department;
- Assuming clinical responsibility and delivering hands-on, high-quality nursing care;
- Leading a clinical portfolio to drive continuous improvement and elevate care standards;
- Inspiring and supporting staff through education initiatives that showcase advanced clinical specialty skills;
- Building strong, collaborative relationships with staff, patients, and multidisciplinary teams;
- Engaging in continuous professional development to maintain and expand clinical specialisation and capability.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Specialised nursing experience in Emergency Care;
- Post-Graduate Qualification in Emergency Nursing or Cert IV in Training and Assessment desirable;
- Current Registration with AHPRA;
- Working with Vulnerable People Check;
- Commitment to Quality Patient Care;
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards.

REMUNERATION
$63.72 to 68.21 per hour.
ABOUT THE FACILITY
The hospital, located in Hobart, is a fully accredited facility with 146 beds, providing a unique range of acute services, including general surgery, specialty care in orthopaedics, urology, gynaecology, breast, colorectal, oral, vascular, plastic, and obesity surgery, as well as select paediatric surgery. The Maternity suites are designed on the contemporary labour/deliver/recover model, fitted with state-of-the-art technology, including K2 fetal monitoring systems, and provide various resources used during childbirth.
