Clinical Nurse Specialist – Orthopaedics, ENT & Paediatrics | Melbourne

An opportunity is available for an experienced and passionate Clinical Nurse Specialist to join established surgical and specialty ward teams at a private hospital in Melbourne, with opportunities in Orthopaedics, ENT & Paediatrics. Permanent full-time and part-time positions are available.

As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will provide advanced clinical care and leadership within the clinical area. The CNS supports staff development through bedside teaching, coaching, and role modelling. Working closely with the Nurse Unit Manager and multidisciplinary teams, you will play a key role in promoting best practice, mentoring nursing staff, and contributing to positive patient outcomes.
 
Your key responsibilities will include:

• Delivering safe, high-quality, patient-centred care;
• Providing clinical leadership and support to nursing teams;
• Acting as a resource and mentor for junior staff;
• Supporting quality improvement and accreditation activities;
• Promoting evidence-based practice and continuous learning;
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient outcomes.

• Current AHPRA registration;
• Minimum 4 years' post-registration experience in an acute hospital setting with 3 years working within the relevant speciality field;
• Relevant clinical experience in Orthopaedics, ENT and/or Paediatrics;
• Demonstrated advanced clinical assessment and decision-making skills;
• Strong communication, leadership and interpersonal skills;
• A commitment to quality improvement and patient-centred care;
• Postgraduate qualifications and 12 months' experience in the area of qualification as an RN (or working towards) in a relevant specialty will be highly regarded.

ABOUT THE FACILITY 

The Hospital, located in Melbourne, is a fully accredited tertiary facility with over 250 beds, providing Emergency Services, Intensive Care and Cardiac Services, including two twenty-four-hour Cardiac Catheter Laboratories. The Hospital has 13 theatres, which offer a broad range of specialties, including Cardiac, Neurosurgery, Robotics, Plastics, Orthopaedics, Urology, Laparoscopic, Colorectal, Vascular and General Surgery and 2 dedicated endoscopy units.
